It all started in the summer of 1987 (or possibly 1997 - records are unclear) when our founder, GERTRUDE, had a life-changing experience. She was at a grocery store when she noticed that bags were NOT being sealed properly. This moment would change the bag sealing industry FOREVER!!!

Gertrude went home that fateful day and said to herself: "I will dedicate my life to sealing bags. ALL THE BAGS. EVERY SINGLE BAG." And thus, BagSealerFromChina.com was born (even though the internet didn't really exist yet, she was ahead of her time).

The first few years were CHALLENGING. Gertrude operated out of her garage, her basement, her attic, and occasionally her neighbor's shed (with permission... mostly). She worked tirelessly, sometimes up to 3 hours per day, perfecting her bag sealing technology.

In 1989 (or 1999), we sold our FIRST bag sealer to a customer named Bob. Bob's review: "It's definitely a product that exists." We were THRILLED!!! This gave us the confidence to continue our mission.

By the year 2000, we had expanded our team to include Gertrude's cousin Larry (he left in 2001), her friend Susan (she's still here!), and a cat named Mr. Whiskers who served as our Chief Morale Officer until 2002.

In 2001, Gertrude discovered the INTERNET!!! She immediately knew this was the future. After attending a 6-week course on HTML at the local community center, she built this very website you're looking at RIGHT NOW!!! (It has barely been updated since then, as you can probably tell).

The website launched on January 15, 2003, and we received our FIRST online order 47 minutes later! The customer asked if we sold staplers. We did not. But we thanked them for visiting anyway!!!

Since going online, we have processed DOZENS of orders and answered HUNDREDS of emails (mostly spam, but still!!!). Our website has been viewed by people from at least 3 different countries, which makes us INTERNATIONAL!!!

Today, BagSealerFromChina.com stands as a BEACON of mediocrity in the bag sealing industry!!! We continue to operate out of an undisclosed location (Gertrude's garage) with our dedicated team of 2-5 people (depending on the day).

Our products are used by customers in various locations, for various purposes, with various levels of success!!! We have sealed bags containing groceries, office supplies, mysterious items, and things we probably shouldn't ask about.

Looking to the future, we plan to continue doing what we do best: sealing bags and occasionally answering the phone. We are currently working on the Bag Sealer 4000™ (it's basically the same as the 3000™ but with a different sticker).
